# Creating a chart in DataLens On-premises

## Creating a chart {#create-chart}

To create a chart:



1. Go to the DataLens home page.
1. Click **Create chart**.



1. On the top panel, select the [visualization type](../../visualization-ref/index.md).
1. Drag the data fields you want to visualize into the chart sections.
1. [Configure your chart](../../concepts/chart/settings.md).
1. Save the chart:

   1. In the top-right corner, click **Save**.
   1. In the window that opens, enter a name for your chart and click **Save**.

## Creating a chart copy or draft {#create-chart-copy}

To create a chart copy, use one of these methods:

In the window that opens, enter a name for the new chart and click **Save**.

In the window that opens, enter a name for the new chart and click **Apply**.
* Go to the page of the workbook the chart is in. ## Undoing and redoing changes in charts {#undo-redo}

When editing a chart, you can [undo/redo](../../concepts/chart/settings.md#undo-redo) any change introduced within the current version.
