Service settings in DataLens On-premises

There are two types of settings in DataLens:

1. Service settings control all the functions and features of the service and are mainly for the DataLens administrator.
2. Settings are there for every user and allow UI customization.

Service settingsService settings

The Service settings section is where you configure a DataLens instance. It allows the administrator to configure the service to meet the needs of the team and organization in terms of user management and functional management.

For your convenience, all settings are grouped into thematic tabs:

• General: DataLens UI customization, color palettes for charts, workbook export and export of data from charts.
• Users: User management. For more information, see User management.
• Groups: User group management. For more information, see Managing user groups.

To access the service settings:

1. In the left-hand panel, select Service settings.
2. Select the tab you need.

To change the current user's settings, select Settings on the left-hand panel and navigate to one of the following tabs:

• Appearance: Select a UI theme and contrast level.
• Language and region: Choose your interface language, time zone, and date and time format.
